Joseph M. Longmeyer was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating Saint Xavier High School, he attended Vanderbilt University where he graduated with a degree in comparative literature as well as a minor in political science. From Vanderbilt, Joseph went on to the Saint Louis University School of Law. In his second year at SLU, Joseph earned a staff position on the St. Louis University Law Journal and went on to serve as an editor in his third year. Joseph graduated from SLU Law in 2001 and was admitted to practice law in Kentucky. He has practiced with his father, John Longmeyer, since departing law school and has acquired years of experience in motor vehicle accident cases, products liability claims, slip and fall claims, worker’s compensation, and wills, trusts and estates. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Louisville Bar Association and the Kentucky Justice Association.
