Chauncey grew up in Crescent Hill, graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.A. in Psychology, and earned his J.D. from California Western School of Law (San Diego) in 2004. He is currently managing partner and head of the trial & litigation departments at Winton & Hiestand Law Group.

Chauncey is a proud Governor at Large on the Kentucky Justice Association's (KJA) Board of Governors. His verdicts include the highest premises liability verdict in Jefferson County in 2019, the 2nd highest in Kentucky that year, and ranked 6th highest premises liability verdict of all time in Kentucky.
